eGuide Scotland
eguide Scotland is a small family business operating from a workshop located next to our house, in the pretty Royal Deeside village of Aboyne. Primarily run by myself (Tony), but supported by my wife (Morag), 2 enthusiastic daughters and 6 cheeky dogs!
We moved to Aboyne 5 years ago to be closer to the foothills and mountains of the Cairngorms which we enjoy spending our time in. I’d fallen in love with the endless miles of off-road trails and Morag was beyond frustrated at the amount of time I would be away from home exploring. She decided that moving to the Cairngorms would at least reduce my travelling time between adventures!
As a veteran of the supply chain working in the oil industry, I hope that I understand the importance of managing expectations and customer requirements. Although the primary focus of eguide Scotland is to get people out riding bikes and having fun…. I have to ensure that everything I do is with integrity and consideration to my customers needs. No request is too big (or too small) and I will endeavour to make your rental or guided experience as special and as memorable as possible.
I am a qualified MBL Level 2 Mountain bike Guide and Gold qualified Velotech bike mechanic. I hold the BASP Emergency Outdoor First Aid qualification. My routes are always risk assessed and we carry all the necessary insurances. Things which eguides customers have come to take for granted – but the meshing together of which will bring them a richer and safer experience.
