Initial Thoughts
I was a little bit hesitant to buy a pair of Citrus Eyewear's Shields as I already had a great pair of shades, but I did like the blue lens and the white frame. And I had been in the market for a pair of blue lenses ever since losing my Rudy Project's to the bottom of the Rubislaw Quarry during an unfortunate SUP incident!
Lenses
The large lens and minimal frame maximise vision which I love. The CompleteVision lens is just as at home on tarmac as it is on gravel - and in a variety of lighting conditions, having worn them at sunrise and sunset. The lenses are also designed to make theromastic paint (used on Road Markings) "pop" - a handy safety feature.
Frame
The frame is lightweight and strong. It grips to allow you to look downwards at your bike computer without fear of the sunglasses falling off. Handy, whilst bombing along the Deeside Way or descending the Dukes Pass! It's also surprising flexible when changing lenses.
Fit
The Flush Fit nose piece is adjustable by using a small screwdriver. Resulting in an a snug and comfortable fit. They also fit well underneath both my helmets (Specialized "Evade" and Sweet Protection "Trailblazer") They also stow very well on my Evade Helmet.
Interchangeability
The Shield's come with a CompleteVision Polarized Lens, clear lens and a prescription insert. The lenses are easily interchangeable and you can swap the out in a few seconds allowing you to change whilst out on a ride.
Overall
Having paid top whack for Rudy's, Oakley's and Sweet Protection in the past, I was concerned about the quality given the price point (£69.00). That said, I can honestly say that these sunglasses are the best lens I have ever cycled with and that you get a lot of bang for your buck.
In my view they are the "Specialized Allez" of sunglasses. Easy on the eye, fun to use and won't break the bank! If you fancy a pair or would like to see others in the range then head over to https://citruseyewear.com/

I just might give them a punt ; @steven strathie How do they hold up in the ‘misting’ category? Is ventilation good? I often find I’m peeking through glasses like I’m in a steam room.
