The Tyre Tracks and Tunes podcast comes from a love of adventure, bikes and music. For 15 years I have been exploring the UK by bike, usually trying to avoid main roads where possible. With a varied community of biking friends, it’s surprising that many of my adventures have been done solo. So, I decided that by taking a microphone, I could share my experiences, discoveries and mishaps with my imaginary bike companions. Since then my brother has come on a few adventures so this has become a Barrow Brothers project.
In episode one I travel from Inverness to Fort William via the Great Glen Way. On my travels I find an eco cafe hidden in the woods, bivvi canalside near Fort Augustus and find that borrowing the Scottish Canals lock facilities key is worth every penny of the £10 cost.
For copyright reasons I've hosted the podcast via a Mixcloud Pro account so I have included the link here.
